Who do you think is the greatest pioneer of the Renaissance? Well, before you answer, consider this! Sir Isaac Newton was the greatest pioneer of the Renaissance era. Even though he was not a man famous for the arts and creativity, which is what most people think of when they hear the word Renaissance. he created the Three Laws of Motion, Calculus and influenced many young people in the renaissance idea of Humanism. He was a man of many talents, especially in science and mathematics.

Sir Isaac Newton is the greatest pioneer of the Renaissance era for many reasons. One of these many reasons is his discovery of gravity and his Three Laws of Motion. Gravity is a universal force that attracts matter together. It is the reason why you were to fall if you jump from a building. No one understood this concept until Sir Isaac Newton came along in the mid 1600‘s. It is said he discovered this idea when he was hit in the head from an apple that fell from a tree. With this new idea, he tested and came up with the Three Laws of Motion. The laws are statements that explain Inertia, force and reactions. The first law states that, “all objects at rest will stay in rest unless acted upon by an equal or greater outside force. An object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by an equal or greater outside force,” (Inertia). The second law states that, “force equals the acceleration of an object times its mass.” The third law states that, “for every action there will be an equal and opposite reaction.” With Newtons three laws, science and technology changed forever. Sir isaac Newton helped lead humans to the age of aviation and space exploration. He thought like a renaissance man and revolutionized science as we know it.

Another reason that shows that Sir Isaac Newton is unarguably the greatest pioneer of the Renaissance is his occupation as a professor of mathematics at cambridge University in England. He helped grow the new idea of...
