There are two different types of people in this world: those who accept homosexuals and those who don’t. Some people don’t realize that just because they aren’t in a relationship with somebody of the opposite sex, that it is something horrible, and that they must go. Society should accept homosexuality completely because denying them is a violation of religious freedom, marriage should be allowed for everyone, the only thing that matters is that there is love in the relationship, and the number of child adoptions would increase.
People who are religious, and within their religion, it is said in the bible that “if a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination (Leviticus 20:13)”. In these biblical periods, men and women were put to death for committing sexual relations with that of the same sex; it was prohibited.
Man was to marry a woman, not a man. They had no say, and they should have. Families just wanted to carry on their name. They didn’t think about how their child felt. These marriages were mainly arranged by their parents before the two had even physically developed nor started thinking about marriage. If a man were to have feelings toward a man, he was to dismiss his thoughts and never bring the thoughts to his tongue.
In Bonnie Szumski and Jill Karson’s, Should Same-Sex Marriage Be Legal?, it states, “many religions teach that homosexuality is immoral, unnatural, and contrary to God’s will”. The church teaches others that being a homosexual is something bad, and that people should steer clear of them. Nobody gives them a chance. A man wouldn’t want to be around a gay man, because he would think that maybe he has feelings for him. The man probably doesn’t, but nobody will know, unless they give it a try.
The Catholic Church insists that people, who have sexual relations with that of the same sex, must be purified. If they had the choice, they wouldn’t allow gays and lesbians anywhere near their property. They bring them in because they want to teach them that their “choice of lifestyle” is not permitted in this world.
