The Sun is the largest object in the Solar System. The Sun’s mass is more than 99.8%. The Sun is the center of the Solar System. The Sun gives us light and produces energy for the plants and heat for us to stay warm. The Sun is not the only star in our Galaxy there are maybe about 200-400 billion stars in the Milky Way Galaxy. Earth and many other planets revolve around the Sun. Scientists are studying the Sun constantly to find more information and to know earth’s weather and climate. Some scientist said that the sun might be shrinking because of its gravity. There are gases on the Sun that move and flow. Mercury
Mercury’s gravitational force is 3.7m/s2. Mercury is the smallest planet and closest one to the Sun. It takes about 88 days to orbit the sun. Mercury looks like our moon because of its dusty surfaces. It’s one of the five planets that can be seen with a naked eye. Mercury is the second densest planet. It may be the smallest planet but it’s very dense. Mercury is the second hottest planet. The exact distance from Mercury to the sun is 57,910,000km. Mercury only orbits the Sun. The fastest planet that travels around the Sun is Mercury because it’s the closest planet to it. The diameter of planet Mercury is 3,032.4 miles. Mercury doesn’t have seasons like other planets do, such as earth. Mercury surface has many craters. Mercury appears to rotate only once every two years. Mercury can be seen from Earth as a very bright object. The time it takes for Mercury to orbit around Sun is a year in Mercury and 88 days in Earth. Mercury is a rocky planet, and is one of the terrestrial planet. Mercury has a solid, cratered surface similar to Earth. Mercury has a thin Atmosphere. Mercury is mostly made up of Oxygen (o2), Sodium (Na), Hydrogen (H2), Helium (He), and Potassium (K). Mercury has no Moon, and there are no rings around Mercury. Mercury has no Satellite and it hard to travel to, because it’s so close to the Sun, so Scientists have been sending Space craft’s. There were only two Space Craft’s that visited Mercury. Scientists found out that there is no evidence or life on Mercury. The temperature is too high on this Rocky Planet, it can rise to 430oC and drop to 180oC. If you would stand on the surface of Mercury, the Sun would appear 3 times larger than how it looks like from Earth.

Venus
Venus’s gravitational force is 8.87m/s2. Venus is the second planet from the sun. Venus is the second brightest object that appears in the sky at night or in the morning. Venus is one of the terrestrial planets; it’s the second largest planet. Venus is sometimes called “Earth’s twin” because of the similarities they share like the size and mass.
