It was a magical moment for me when I got my first computer from my uncle. It was a big black & white Window’s 95 OS where I played my first game, Dave. The moment I touched its keyboard an urge to learn more about computers began and has not ceased.
Hence I took up Information Technology as a specialization for my graduation. Which provided me with a strong and comprehensive background in computers and telecommunications. The subjects like C, C++, Java and DBMS which were catered to us in the curriculum made me proficient in programming languages to such a level that I started creating my own games in C++. Nevertheless, my interest was not bounded to only programming; my creativity was ignited when I was introduced to graphics. I designed various visiting cards, web templates and photos for several occasions. These acquired skills helped me find the opportunity to be the team leader of a designing team while organizing an inter-college competition.
When introduced to the field of Computer Networks and Information Security via academics and workshops, I learned about different attacks as well as their precautionary methods. After learning SQL injection and different exploit attacks. I applied this knowledge to make my own website which catered to students and allowed them to obtain details regarding an event as well as register themselves. This experience was invaluable as I initiated it.
Moreover, as a team we were also introduced to work on an International Project during our academic tenure. Our college and the company Ativio USA, took this initiative to let each student involve in the project, get international exposure as well as get the opportunity to experience different cultures across the border. The countries with whom we shared our requirements apart from India were USA and Botswana wherein I was a team leader of my team.
