An organization that makes an effort to manage quality and have satisfied customers will have a control system that gives the company a reliable reputation and the ability to be cost efficient. The following will discuss how quality is linked to Riordan Manufacturing's strategic plan and objectives. An analysis of a process improvement plan that Riordan Manufacturing currently uses will also be identified. In addition, examples of the tools and techniques used to measure quality and customer satisfaction within Riordan Manufacturing will be explained. Finally, the group whom has ultimate responsibility for quality assurance will be identified and the extent to which Riordan Manufacturing's process improvement plan is related to their organization's strategic plan will be discussed.Quality Linked to Strategic Plan and ObjectivesRiordan Manufacturing, Inc. is known as an industry leader in the field of plastic injection molding operating in a global marketplace. With state-of-the art design capabilities, they create innovative plastic designs that have earned international recognition and acclaim. Attention to detail, extreme precision and enthusiastic quality control are the hallmarks of Riordan Manufacturing (Phoenix, 2008). Part of Riordan's mission statement is to maintain an innovative and team-oriented work environment, by ensuring employees are well informed and properly supported. In doing this, they will provide a climate focused on the long-term viability of the company.Riordan Manufacturing is a customer-focused, quality-driven enterprise which strives continually to improve and compete globally. To compete and grow at that expected level, Riordan needs a very talented and qualified skill set of employees to deliver on the goals and expectations set forth. Riordan's innovative plastic designs have caught the attention of many industries. These innovations cannot be limited only to current products though. In time, new discoveries will need to be made and for this company, creating an environment where creativity and innovation are fostered will certainly support future growth opportunities and assist in reaching strategic objectives.Riordan has set its goals and mission to become the industry leader through identifying industry trends.
