School X offers the International Baccalaureate program, which is UK, based education and is comprehensive to the international syllabus. 1870 Education Act is being implemented to an extent in school X. School X takes importance on students’ attendance not only academically but, also in co-curricular activities. Similarly to this act, students’ attendance is compulsory unless with prior notification or unavoidable reasons. School X inquires from parents or takes actions upon three consecutive day’s absenteeism of students without notice. However, school X does not practice state free-education for students ranging from 5 to 10 years old as students of this school are from those affordable families. Thus, school X practices only a few aspects of this act and not the act in whole.
Government schools in Malaysia on the other hand practices 1870 Education Act to a greater extend compared to school X.
