Microsoft, founded by Paul Allen and Bill Gates, began in 1975 as two men selling software for a microcomputer intended for hobbyists.  Since then, Microsoft has expanded their product base to cover operating systems, gaming consoles, and tablets extending not only to software but also to complex hardware.
To examine Microsoft’s impact and usage of communication systems, the following report will focus on three main product areas: Xbox Kinect; Windows hone 8.1; and Xbox One Controller.
The Xbox one is a complex piece of equipment. The Kinect uses a 1080p wide-angle time-of-flight camera, and processes 2 gigabits of data per second to read its environment.  The Xbox one Kinect is better then its predecessor, it can track up to six people and can even scan codes to redeem Xbox Live gift cards.
Inside the Kinect there is a circuit board that contains a power block, a triple output laser diode driver, a power metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET), a dynamic random-access memory (DRAM), a red, green, blue (RBG) camera, an infrared camera, and many more components defined in the following section.
Xbox Kinect: Hardware
The ISL58303 is a high-speed triple output laser diode driver designed to support laser light source from Pico projection modules.  This driver supports HFM (High Frequency Modulation and has a high frequency modulation input to modulate laser pulse. This part is used in the RGB Color Field Sequential Laser Projection System on the Kinect
TI CICLON CSD25407 NexFET Power MOSFET is a power MOSFET. Power MOSFET’s are most widely used as a low-voltage switch. This MOSFET is designed to handle significant power levels and its advantages are high commutation speed and good efficiency at low voltages. This Mosfet is used in both the RGB and infrared cameras in the Kinect. 
The MX25L25635F is a 256Mb bits serial Flash memory, which is configured as 33,554,432 x 8 internally. This chip does operation through a 3-wire bus. The three bus signals are a clock input, a serial data input, and a serial data output. This chip provides sequential read operation on whole chip. Program command is executed on byte basis, or page (256 bytes) basis, or word basis for erase command is executed on sector (4K-byte), block (32K-byte), or block (64K-byte), or whole chip basis. This chip can store up to 100,000 programs and erase cycles efficiently. 
The SK Hynix H5TC1g63EFR is a 1 GB low power Double Data Rate III (DDR3L) Synchronous DRAM. This chips is in charge of memory applications which require large memory density, high bandwidth and low power operation at 1.35V. The data paths in this chip are internally pipelined and 8-bit prefetched to achieve very high bandwidth
