Do you use technology? Is it a lot or not that much? Some schools are cutting down the use of technology. Technology can be defined as anything from a Smart Board to a laptop to an Elmo to an i-pad. Technology users can include items such as an online exam or a power point presentation. In many school districts elements of technology are replacing more traditional forms of educational materials. However, some school districts have opted, decided, to curtail, hold back the use of technology. Some people disagree with these school districts. Therefore, there should be an expanded role of technology, in the classroom.

In his clssroom, many students would be shy to speak and wouldn’t participate. Using Twitter those students who weren’t participating were participating. Twitter hass actually helped more students to be involved both inside and outside of the classroom. It says that,” Many teachers are now using Twitter as a means to get their students mre involved oth inside and outside the classroom.” Twitter can also be used as a resource for learning. One study, had proved that using Twitter the student’s grades were improving. Improvent in grade was shown. This experiment was conducted to prove this. 125 students from a pre-health class were used to conducted this experiment. 70 students were able to use Twitter for class-discussions and the other 55 students who were remaining were not allowd to use Twitter in class-discussions. The students who were allowed to use Twitter in class-discussionshad a higher mean than the 55 students who weren’y able to use Twitter in class -discussions. It states in the article that,” One study however, proved that using Twitter can have a positive impact on grades. The Effect of Twitter on College Student Engagement and grades was a study conducted using 125 students from a pre-health class; 70 of which were allowed to use Twitter for class related iscussions, and the remaining 55 were not. At the end of the semester, GPA’s form both groups were recorded and compared. The mean GPA of the 70 students who used Twitter was 2.79 and the mean GPOA of the 55 students who did not use Twitter was 2.28. There is a clear difference in the success of the students who used Twitter and those who dd not.” These statements prove that Twitter is really helpful to students and teaachers in many different ways in and ut of the classroom.
There should be an limited role of technology in the classroom. With a liited role of technology, there’s alot of creativity in the classroom. With creativity, the minds of students are more creative. The thing that’s really ridicoulous is that an app on the i-pad can better teach kids how to read and do math. That’s pretty creepy.
