Randolph Wilmott was the ambassador for the United States who was traveling to Great Britain during the incident. After Randolph arrived home his valet noticed that his kit bag was missing. They were told that another person with the initials R.W. had claimed the bag.
The man with the same initials is Ralph Westerham again for the United States. Ralph immediately had his men return the bag to its rightful owner. Mr. Wilmott happen to run into Mr. Westerham and asked him about the incident, but he refused to admit that it happened. Mr. Wilmott being puzzled by his response had his men look into what really happened.
Richards who is Mr. Wilmott’s attendant verifies what had happened to his kit bag. Before the attendant asked about the bag the other attendant began going through things like he was looking for something. However, the attendant did not find anything out of the ordinary, all he could find were a pair of boots, toilet items, and bath mints in a tin. Tommy another attendant thinks that the ambassador’s bag might have been altered with. All that he remembers is a women by the name of Miss O’Hara being by the ambassador’s cabin. She needed some sort of medical attention so the ambassador went to help leaving the cabin unattended. When he came back the lady seemed to be fine.
That’s when they knew something was a little bit off. Tommy wanted to find Miss O’Hara and comfort her, but in doing that they might put her in danger if she is involved. A few days late shown into Tommy’s office is Miss Cicely March, she is responding to his add. Before either of them take a big Spanish looking man comes in and holds a gun to them. Tommy thinks that he realizes that she was on the liner with Mr. Wilmott and might know what took place. Tommy’s partner Albert gets the gun away from him and Tommy throws the guy out not getting the police into the matter.
So after all the ruckus Tommy and Miss March talk about the day in question and it goes like this. Miss O’Hara was not an ill woman. She thought she was by herself and went into Mr. Wilmott’s cabin putting something into the boot lining. Miss March took it upon herself to investigate what too place. She found that Miss O’Hara put a piece of paper in the book lining. At first it was...
