The Biography of Robert Lee Frost
Robert Frost was described as one of the most greatest poets in the 20th century and became a sensation for poetry. Its not just his poems that interest the reader, but also his quotes can fulfill your compassion. For example, “No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. No surprise in the writer, no surprise in the reader” written by Robert Frost. He is explaining if the reader does not feel the connection in the writers thought, the writer won't connect correctly to the reader. Frost presented a poem called “The Gift Outright” to John F. Kennedy’s inauguration. In order for the audience to relate to what Frost was saying, Frost had to succeed at his connection with the audience. This paper will be about Robert Frost’s background and views about poetry.
American author Robert Lee Frost was a talented poetry writer whose “work was published in England then transferred to America” (www.imdb.com). Born on March 26,1874 in San Francisco, California, Frost attended Lawrence High School. “He had many jobs but they were not satisfying to him so he started writing poetry which became a big success in his lifetime” (www.biography.com). Frost also grew up on a farm therefore a lot of his poems were pastoral. Frost married a woman who he went to St.Lawrence University with named Elinor Miriam White and later on had a family together. They had six children but two in which died from mental illnesses and Elinor later on died from childbirth. However, “Frost decided to sell his farm in New Hampshire and relocate his family to England due to more publishers that would be willing to take new poets like him” (www.biography.com). Therefore, Frost was qualified as a devoted type of man in general. Another example would be how Frost had struggled with being committed to his younger sister that was in a mental hospital at the time since his mother passed away from cancer and could no longer take care of her. During this time though he never let it get in the way for inspiring his children to start poetry and even they have developed a book called “The Bouquet”.
