The Causes Of Global Warming Essay

555 words - 2 pages

Global warming is an issue that threatens the world, but is often overlooked. This problem is an increase in the earth's temperature due to fossil fuels, industries, agricultural, and man-made causes. This results in the release of greenhouse gases. As climate changes occur in our earth's atmosphere buildup of greenhouse gases. There are many problems that are causing global warming, and if they are not taken serious or at least prevented there are going to be some severe issues in the near future.
Global warming has been caused by the people of the world. Pollution is one of the biggest problems caused by people. No one seems to realize is that by burning fossil fuels is one thing that causes pollution. Fossil fuels are fuels made of organic matter such as coal, or oil. When fossil fuels are burned they give off a green house gas called CO2. 40% of U.S. CO2 emissions come from electricity production, and burning coal accounts for 93% of emissions from the electric utility industry. As each day passes, we come up with a wide variety of new electrical devices.
Another cause of global warming is transportation. This is the second largest source of CO2 emissions in the U.S. Our modern car burning gasoline is responsible for about 33% of the emission in the U.S. With our population growing at a rapid rate, the demand for more cars and consumer goods means that we are increasing the use of fossil fuels for transportation and manufacturing.
A recent poll of twenty people, shows that 86% of the people think that it is a serious problem, 4% think it is not an issue, but could not give a valid answer, 10% are undecided. Some people that don't believe in global warming...

The Main Causes of Global Warming

1155 words - 5 pages Global warming is the rise of temperature of the Earth. The main cause of global warming is the greenhouse effect. The way humans behave is the reason that greenhouse gas trap more heat. Automobiles are the main cause of the greenhouse gases to to trap the heat. Global warming doesn’t completely mean a constant rise in temperature, it is mainly a change in temperature.in patterns. The two major greenhouse gases include methane and carbon

Research on the Effects and Causes of Global Warming

2318 words - 9 pages have to deal with and contain. Two thousand scientists, in a hundred countries, engaged in the most elaborate, well organized scientific collaboration in the history of humankind, have produced long-since a consensus that we will face a string of terrible catastrophes unless we act to prepare ourselves and deal with the underlying causes of global warming (Al Gore). In conclusion, global warming is the effect of many things

The Causes and Negative Effects of Global Warming

914 words - 4 pages Global warming is one of the biggest problems facing our world today, that threatens to take away everything we have. our temperatures are slowly deliberately accumulating, and with that, our world is crumbling. Global warming is avoidable, but us humans need to take a step forward and hinder it. since the 1900s, our world evoked entering the era of industrialization, and global warming also suddenly erupted before anyone noticed. Global

Global Warming: What is Global Warming, Causes of Global Warming, Consequences of Global Climate Change

1396 words - 6 pages Global WarmingWhat is Global Warming?Global Warming is described as the progressive gradual rise of the earth's surface temperature thought to be caused by the greenhouse effect and responsible for changes in global climate patterns. The greenhouse effect is the absorption of energy radiated from the Earth's surface by carbon dioxide and other gases in the atmosphere, causing the atmosphere to become warmer. The greenhouse effect is what is

CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING

740 words - 3 pages warming, but also killing our own soldiers in the war against global warming by deforestation. Having looked at the causes of global warming, now I would like to mention about the two main effects of it. The first effect is, greenhouse effect. As climate scientist Roy W. Spencer states, ’’ there are two common meanings of the term "greenhouse effect". There is a "natural" greenhouse effect that keeps the Earth's climate warm and habitable. There is

Prevalence, Causes and Impacts of Global Warming

2752 words - 12 pages slowly coming true. This research analysis will anatomize the prevalence, causes, and impacts of global warming. More importantly, it will also address the ways in which we can confront these escalating trends of global warming. Despite the debate on global climate change, there is tremendous amount of unequivocal scientific evidence that clearly reflects the growing issue of global climate change. The skeptics and believers of global warming both

Causes, Effects, and Solutions of Global Warming

3666 words - 15 pages Abstract There needs to be a reduction if not extinction with the increasing amounts of carbon dioxide, methane, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), per-fluorocarbons (PFCs) and nitrous oxide into the atmosphere because it is directly affecting global warming. The combustion of fossil fuels and greenhouse emissions mainly contribute to the increase of these gases. The longer we go without solving this global

What Causes Global Warming

973 words - 4 pages One summer morning I rose from my bed and quickly put on clothes. As I went outside in the early morning I noticed that I was already poring sweat because it was so hot out. I looked at the thermostat outside and it read 95 degrees Fahrenheit; I was shocked and couldn’t believe it. What causes these outrageous temperatures and why all of sudden was it becoming unbearable to be outside? Global warming has been a huge topic in recent years around

Global Warming Causes and Solutions

Severe flooding and droughts are creating havoc around the world. All nations must begin to address, formulate, and implement the necessary solutions to reduce global warming before it becomes irreversible. Developed countries can drastically reduce the emission of green house gasses (GHG) which are destroying the ozone layer by

Effects of Global Warming: What is global Warming? What causes it? What are the consequences? What can be done to prevent it?

1033 words - 4 pages Global warming is the gradual increase in global temperatures caused by the emission of gases that trap the sun's heat in the Earth's atmosphere. Gases that contribute to global warming include carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxides, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), and halocarbons (the replacements for CFCs). The carbon dioxide emissions are primarily caused by the use of fossil fuels for energy.Energy from the sun drives the earth's weather and

Also, cutting down trees one-by-one, acting as if it is not helping create global warming. The IPCC

The Natural Causes Of Global Warming
