They can teach how to manage resources in games like Simcity the player learns to manage resources that are limited, and decide the best use of resources, the same way as in real life. The creator of Simcity has claimed that many players have been inspired to become real world architects after playing the game.
Many games also emphasize creativity. The game Minecraft is well known for pushing creativity throughout the game. The player can build anything he wants with a few limits to resources. The game can also be played with other players online giving the players the opportunity to build what they want with their friends. The game has high attraction to adolescents, and many parents approve of their children playing minecraft due to its low violence and extensive positives to brain development.
