The Mystery Date Essay

It all began with a simple phone call one night after dinner, “Joe,” my father hollered up the stairs, “it’s for you. It’s Jackie, and she sounds upset.” As I came downstairs to pick up the phone, I was not happy. I was tired and had looked forward to a nice quiet evening at home, not another stupid adventure with Jackie.
Thirty minutes later, however, Jackie’s silver Mustang convertible swung into our driveway, and Jackie was leaning on the horn before the car came to a full stop. Grabbing my coat from the couch, I walk out my front door with all the enthusiasm of a man going to stand before a firing squad.
We head off down the road, I fretted, “Where are we going?”
“To a mystery ...view middle of the document...

We went inside and a butler had taken our coats. We were so amazed by the decor of the mansion we couldn't help but stand and stare. The mansion was like a place meant for the really important people. We were escorted to the grand dining hall where a large mahogany table and chairs occupy the room. Jackie and I had the strange feeling that this place was familiar. “This place seems like the mansion from the movie we just watched,” I gasped.
Jackie whispered “It is a little strange but yeah this place is like the mansion from the movie,
After a few minutes, the first of the remaining guests arrived. This man and woman were very tall and were both wearing white. They came and sat down directly across from us at the table. “Hey,” I acknowledged trying to be polite.
“Hello,” the man and woman replied back.
“What are your names?” I queried.
“My name is Fred and my wife is Dafney. What are your names?” The man questioned.
“I am Joe and my girlfriend’s name is Jackie,”I divulged.
As we finished our greetings, another couple walks in and instantly introduces themselves. “We are the Griffins,” The man announced.
As the rest of the couples come in, I tell them to wait on the greetings until everyone was here. I start off the greetings and then we go around the table. “I’m Joe.” I addressed with a shy tone.
“I’m Jackie.” she piped in an excited voice that was rather high pitched
“I’m Shaggmier, but you can call me Shaggy.” smiled the man in a black and white suit with a red tie.
“I'm Velma.” replied the woman dressed in a black dress and a white scarf around her neck.
“I’m Christopher, but you can call me Chris.” added the tall man who was dressed in a navy blue suit and a white tie.
“I'm Christine.” stated a tall slender woman who wore a blue dress that was made up of blue cloth roses.
“I’m Freddie, but you can call me Fred.” greeted the man in a white suit and red tie.
“I’m Daphne.” remarked the woman in a white dress marching Fred’s suit.
“I’m Garrison, but call me Gary for short.” said the man in a bright green suit and a dark green bow tie.
“I’m Gabriella, but you can call me Gab for short.” said the lady next to Gary who is wearing a bright green dress to match Gary.
“I’m Alec.” drawled the man in the bright orange suit and a darker orange bow tie.
“I’m Parita.” bubbled the woman in a neon orange dress and a slightly darker scarf to match.
“I’m Hannah.” chuckled the woman in a dress that was a nasty shade of yellow.
The introductions were done and we were all then served dinner. Dinner included Le Burger Extravagant, a burger made with white truffle butter and infused with Japanese Wagyu beef. It was topped with black truffles, James Montgomery cheddar cheese, and a fried quail egg. Served on a gold-dusted roll spread with white truffle butter and topped with crème fraiche and caviar, it came with a solid-gold, diamond-encrusted toothpick. After the expensive burger, we had dessert. Dessert consisted of Frozen Haute Chocolate...
