Internet is an effective tool for academics and students. The Internet has been shown to be largely effective at the academic performance of students. The influence of the Internet on academic performance as shown in available literature has shown that it could be positive and/or negative. A questionnaire was designed and delivered to students in Department Of Foreign Language Education in Middle East Technical University, Turkey. A total of 79 respondents returned the completed questionnaire. Three research questions were raised and were accordingly addressed.
