“ The most beautiful necklace a mother can wear is not gold or gems, but her child’s arms around her neck.” (InspirationalQuotes). Children are a special gift from God, sent with a purpose in this world. With Abortion legal in the United States today, brings what some would say is a “right” for the mother to terminate the pregnancy. Is it really a “ right” to terminate a pregnancy? Terminating the pregnancy means to get rid of the baby through either a pill, or in some cases through a surgical removal of the fetus. Why should it be legal for someone to kill an innocent baby who has no say, but illegal to murder someone, or to even accidentally kill someone? Americans need to understand that Abortion is murder, life starts at conception, they are unhealthy and harmful to the mother, and that there are other options, rather then aborting the baby.
The rising debate about abortion all started with a popular case known as Roe versus Wade from 1970 to 1973. Many years before this case abortions were seen commonly and carried out often, but as the years went by they became more dangerous and life threatening. More and more restrictions were set into place by the states, eventually making abortion legal only in the case of severe health risk for the mother, creating a major decline in the number of abortions occurring. In fact, “ Texas law made it a felony to abort a fetus unless on medical advice for the purpose of saving the life of the mother.” (LandmarkCases). With abortions occurring illegally, behind the scenes, and with extreme health risks controversy had sparked.
A young women named Jane Roe lived in Texas and became pregnant in 1970. Not married or financially stabled she wanted to abort the baby. With strict abortion laws, a felony to terminate a pregnancy she was unable to. After taking what she argued was, “… a violation to the guarantee of personal liberty and the right to privacy implicitly guaranteed…” (LandmarkCases) to court a crucial decision was made in America. A decision that would not only change the lives of everyone in America, but mostly too all the innocent unborn babies that would never get the chance to hold there mothers hand, and see the world that they were created to be a part of. Supreme court made the decision to take away and make all state laws that prohibited any first trimester abortions invalid and again legal.

At this point the mother still does not even know that she is pregnant. Pregnancy.org, website designed to help with the understanding of fetal development, starting...
