“Actions speak louder than words” but in this case results speak louder than words. Just because the labels say it’s safe, is it? How can something that’s only recently been discovered be considered safe when we don’t know the long term outcome? Hearing that my food has been ‘Genetically Modified’ just sounds messed up from the start. Our countries people are trusting what they consume by words spoken by people they’ve never even met and people who are only out to make lots of money with whatever it takes. Do you really think that the business owners running the food system actually eats the average food that is in a grocery store? Doubtful. Not only does this affect your health but has and will have serious negative impacts on the surrounding environment for our planet and other living organisms. 93% of Americans tested by the CDC had metabolites of chlorpyrifos — a neurotoxic insecticide — in their urine. Banned from home use because of its risks to children, chlorpyrifos is part of a family of pesticides (organophosphates) linked to ADHD and 99% of Americans tested positive for DDT degradants, even though DDT hasn't been used in the U.S. since 1972. This all comes from the foods we consume. People like to think that the US is checking what goes on with our food supply but they look at the chemicals are innocent until proven guilty. Not only does this affect our current generations but our future generations. Studies have shown that consuming these foods can cause serious issues with a child still in the womb, such as ADHD, Autism, and increased risks in neurodevelopmental and even if you try washing that foods that you can wash, the pesticides still can’t be removed that easily.

Ever noticed how pure breed dogs are more commonly known to have health issues compared to an old mut? Same thing happens with genetically modified food, it takes away genetic diversity which may lead to plants that can’t handle the impact of certain fungus or insects unlike the natural plant.

GMO industries have taken over the market AND farms. Ever walked into a grocery store and wondered why all the healthier food and all the organic food is so much more expensive than everything else? These companies built it to be this way whether it was intentional or not, they make a fortune off of it. It start off by the organic farmers. Organic farmers are at a constant war with these industries who are sueing them left and right. Why? A larger majority of organic farmers have their land decently close to the fields of local GMO farms, who claim that their crops have been contaminated with their GMOs USDA regulations require that organic farmers must plant buffers to protect their plants from GMO contamination which doesn’t work as studies show anywhere from 0.5 to 2 percent of organic corn sold in the U.S. is contaminated with genes found in GMO...
