Excelling in music, dancing, and acting, Justin Timberlake is a “Jack of all trades”. He is known for being classy, always sporting a “Suit and Tie”. His sexy façade and luscious locks only make up a fraction of this amazing man. After releasing seven albums and starring in numerous films, Timberlake is still building on his career and making an impact on the music world.
Justin Randall Timberlake was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 31, 1981. His parents, Randall Timberlake and Lynn Bomar Harless divorced when Timberlake was only three. He attended E.E. Jeter Elementary School, and was home-schooled for the rest of his childhood. Timberlake became interested in music while singing in his church’s choir. It was clear from the start just how talented he was, he was a natural performer and participated in many pageants and competitions. He was first noticed at a lip-synching competition. He was warming up when he was surrounded by girls, amazed at his beautiful voice. Later he entered a “Star Search” competition, but was unsuccessful. Finally, he was picked up by “The New Mickey Mouse Club” marking the start of his career (“Justin Biography”; “Justin” PEOPLE).
During his time on “The New Mickey Mouse Club” he met many people that would later become a big part of his life. This included Christina Aguilera, JC Chasez, and Britney Spears. After two years on the TV show, Justin and his fellow “Mouseketeer” JC Chasez joined together with Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Lance Bass to form the very popular boy band “*NSYNC”. Their success was immediate, and their first album “*NSYNC” sold ten million copies. One of their later albums called “No Strings Attached” was considered the best-selling album of the decade. The band went on tour before a hiatus in 2002. Part of the reason for the band’s “breakup” was Timberlake’s decision to pursue a solo career. In an interview he said,” It’s one of the best/worst things that I have ever done.” Although this decision was hard, it led to the biggest and most successful part of his career (“BIOGRAPHY”; “Justin Says”).
Leaving the band was a big change for Timberlake. It transformed who he was in many ways. His music and his look became more sophisticated and mature which made him even more attractive to his expanding fan base. The success of his solo career was instant. Timberlake released his first solo album called “Justified” selling half a million copies in under a week. His success gained him a chance to tour with Christina Aguilera as well as a spot singing at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2004 (“Justin Career”).
Timberlake is and always has been very passionate about his music. Rather than releasing album after album over short periods of time, he spends a lot of time between albums. He released his second solo album “FutureSex/ LoveSounds” in 2006. After the release of the album he took a break from music, releasing “Mr. Timberlake” in 2008, and “The 20/20 Experience” in 2013. “The 20/20...
