On Wednesday, September 7, 1864, the delegates of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island had decided a positive answer on expressing their views for the Canadian delegation with satisfaction.
Further meetings between delegates were scheduled at Halifax,Fredericton and Saint John after this conference was adjourned on September 9, 1864. Since the meetings gathered enough interest to warrant further discussion,they proposed a second conference in Quebec on October 10, 1864.
