Humans have and do preform some radical and irreparable things to proceed with the acceleration of society as we know it, and they don’t go without repercussion. The automobile has made itself necessary for almost everyone in engaged developed countries; from the time it was invented, it was not very efficient for people and hurt the environment drastically. If, supposedly, the ability to travel back in time was made available, these consequences could be lifted. By giving the knowledge we have today to this time, countless things could be better about the 21st century.
In the late 19th century, a new form of transportation was overdue for production. In 1903, the gas-powered automobile was created and yielded successful. Previous attempts were made to create this dream machine by several inventors, namely Fredrick Benz, Charles and Frank Duryea, however the ‘perfected’ design was made by Henry Ford. Highland Park, Michigan was where Ford sparked his legacy and brought his creations to the masses. The model-N Ford was released in 2006, being the first publically available automobile. The Model-T was released in 2008 and proved very successful to the general populace due to its high quality and low price.
The automobile or a variation of it is being used almost everywhere in the world. 30% of all greenhouse gasses are emitted by automotive appliances, and there are over 5,419,000 car accidents annually. These problems are being worked on now. The potential behind how much better cars can become is almost endless. Supposing the level of automotive technology that we are at now was active 50 or even 100 years ago. Assuredly by the 21st century any bad effect of any kind that a car could cause would be completely minimized if not near that level.
