(“Facts about Japan”) In March of 2011, Japan suffered one of the largest most powerful earthquakes to hit Honshu, Japan. (“Facts about Japan”) The earthquake registered 8.9 and was the fifth largest most powerful earthquake in the world. (Foster) As a result of the earthquake, a tsunami was triggered with extremely high waves. (Foster) Several thousand people died as a result of the earthquake and tsunami. (“Japanese Culture”) The Japanese culture is deeply rooted in the ancient code of samurai, where duty, loyalty, bravery and proper etiquette are very important to their everyday lives.
