The substance could cause the animal's eyelids to swell, it's eyes to bleed, and cause it to possibly become blind. Maybe it will just snap its neck trying to escape. The end result will be a product label that warns people to avoid eye contact with this oven cleaner. Believe it or not, this testing goes on everyday and is a common form of testing for several products. Other products such as eye shadow and soap are tested on rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, dogs, and many other animals, despite the fact that the test results do not help prevent or treat human illness or injury. Animal testing is morally and humanely wrong because of the lives they take, the form of testing, and they ways testing can be avoided.Animals used for education range from frogs that are dissected in classrooms to dogs that undergo open heart surgery to train surgeons. Dissection was considered the best way to teach young people about the anatomy of various animals, the difference between species, and evolution. About 6 million animals a year are killed so that they can be dissected in American Schools.(James-p.2) Removing these animals from their natural environment may upset the balance of nature. Instead of dissecting, students may use a computer program to learn about the bodies of animals. There are many web-sites over the internet which now provide the service of virtual dissecting, in which you can experiment your skills without harming any animals.(James-p.2) Students may watch a movie of a teacher dissecting an animal, which can give them quite a good idea of the process.
