I started the process of earning my Bachelors a lot later in life than other students. I am a married father with a seven year old daughter (Hayden). Since I Got up at 4 am to get ready for work, the first thing I do is shower, then I put my uniform on and lace my boots, eat breakfast, drink a cup of coffee and feed the dog before leaving the house for the 20 minute drive to the squadron for my strenuous full day of work. In addition, I call and made sure the wife and Daughter are up in time for her workday and my daughter’s school day. The five days I spend at work, I try and do some of my class work when there is time, but most of the day I am fixing other work centers issues and running the maintenance department from 6:00 a.m. to 4: p.m. every day. On my way home, I pick up my daughter from after school care, when I get home the first thing I do is change out of my uniform, greet the dog and see if she has gotten into anything or tracked dirt in from the outside. I then help my daughter with her 1st grade homework (which she acts like she doesn’t know what she is doing, so daddy will do it for her) but without her knowing the wife and I called her teacher and asked if they learn the math in class, the teacher told us she would not send anything home that the kids do not learn in class.
