The charter consists 111 articles and these articles explain how the United Nations work. All members of UN are presented in General Assembly and they were to meet at regular basis. In general assembly, it needs two-thirds majority of vote for issue to be passed.SECURITY COUNCIL - Security Council particularly focuses on maintaining world peace and security. It has power to use blockade or financial impositions, or even military force to enforce its will for any nation that is breaking international law. The Council consist five permanent members (USA, RUSSIA, BRITAIN, FRANCE, CHINA) and another six non-permanent members who are appointed from General Assembly. All permanent members have to agree for the course of action.ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL - This council is to improve the economy, social well being and living standard of those in member states. It also deals with education, health and cultural issues. It has 54 members appointed from General Assembly in three years term and each country has one vote.INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE - It is the main judicial body of the United Nations. It settles legal disputes submitted from its member states. The case is only allowed to be heard when one or more states requested to do so. ICJ consists 15 member states and only two members from same country are allowed.TRUSTEESHIP COUNCIL- The Trusteeship Council suspended operation on 1 November 1994, with the independence of Palau, the last remaining United Nations trust territory.
