After the invention of television by Philo Farnsworth in 1927, this is the most common thing that can be found in any household throughout the globe. But it has not as good reputation as it is expected to have in the houses because there is belief in every house that Television helps in making people lazy, fat and in the worst cases addicted. For example, girls are supposed to have the addiction to the TV series, children to the cartoons and boys to the sports programs. People have the thinking that watching television makes them more into it and they are not exposed to the outer world making them fat, lazy and addicted. Today people want to stay healthy, in shape and have the sportsmen spirit and according to them television is the distraction in that goal so they considered bad. And the second one is the influence it creates among the psychology of people watching it and mostly children as they have the ability to grasp things easily they can grasp the idea of violence and war easily. The example of the program with the violence can be wrestling, CBI investigation programs and so on. Moreover in the Asian sub-urban communities, parents avoid their children from watching television because they thing that this might affect their grade and all other but they are not really concerned about the violence that television can bring in the habit of their children. So, TV has kind of bad image in every part of globe.
But is the reality same? Is television bad to watch? The answer is "NO". Though there might be some disadvantages but it is seen if brighter side of having TV is never looked into and also the disadvantages can be controlled if selected audience are separated for selected violent TV programs. There are many advantages of having television and the supporting role of television in people's daily life is inseparable. TV continually manages to instantly reach millions of viewers, allowing for a communication message to reach a broad mass within a short amount of time.
