As Lucy tells me the story of her grandmother giving her the necklace when she was six, I can't help but feel as if part of the worry that I had was being lifted from me. I wasn't certain, but I'm pretty sure she wasn't so happy with me still talking to her and still talking to Mark. There was nothing wrong with me though, I hadn't done anything to either of them....Have I? Maybe I have, I just didn't notice....Oh god, it's getting late...I look up to her, and wait for her to stop talking.
After a few minutes, she does. “Lucy...” I start cautiously, afraid to get on her bad side. If I was on her bad side, who knew what she would do to me. Better safe than dead..
“I have to go back to my room now, it's getting late..” I say and she nods. “See you tomorrow then Cleo!”
“Okay.” I nod, and I start to walk out. Once out in the hall, Mark walks out and goes over to me. “So...how did you like Lucy?” His voice is light, but there's something in it that makes me wonder as if he expected me not to like her. He's so strange..
“She's really nice.” I state, smiling the slightest bit at him. Lucy was nice, and blunt about basically everything that you could be blunt about.
“I'm sorry she was being like that..today is sort of a off day for her.” Mark says, and I nod a bit. “She was really nice. Nicer than most are at least.”
“That's sad.” he says softly, and I smile a bit at him. “It's fine. Besides, I rather like it when people aren't so nice.”
“Oh yeah.” he says, and I nod. We walk in silence the rest of the way back. Once back at my room, I say good night to him and go to bed. Tired, I almost immediately fall asleep into a almost blissful like state of sleeping that I'm not actually used to.
I walk through the woods, and the stars are high above me. I see shadows, and a cool breeze blows past me. I smile a bit, soaking up the sky in one glance. It was the best thing I had ever seen, one of the most beautiful. So majestic, the sky seemed to draw me toward it as if it was a painting. I couldn't stop gazing at it if I had tried, and all of a sudden it appeared to be coming closer and closer to me.
I started to freak out, and suddenly it was as if something was choking me. The air was leaving my lungs, and something hit me in the back of the head. Hard.
I couldn't figure out what was wrong though, until I realized that the stars were still getting closer and closer. Suddenly, a voice was right next to me, laughing evilly. It sounded like someone I know, but I can't tell who it could be. 'Did you honestly think you were worthy of looking upon him? Did you think you could charm your...
