What I Have Learned In Technology Education: Final Exam

Technology. Technology may be a very general topic, however, without technology there a significant amount of things that exist today would not have existed without the help of technology. In technology education, I learned many things. Some of those things include learning how to use a drill press, band saw, spindle sander, belt sander, rotating sander, how to paint properly, the significance of aerodynamics and drag, and most importantly the code of conduct and safety rules. The third thing that I had learned how to do was how to use the three sanders. Those three include the spindle sander, the belt sander, and the rotating sander. To use a sander you had to check the power box, and then turn it on but make sure that your hands were away from the sand paper. This ensured that you would not sand off part of your finger or give yourself a bloody manicure as Mr. Heinbockel liked to call it. These sanders all taught me how to sand all of the extra wood that was left over from the band saw and also provided a smooth finish to the car. I learned that without the smooth finish, the car would produce more drag.
The forth thing that I learned was all about how to paint the car properly. I was taught to make sure the entire table was covered with newspaper, that the paint was opened with a paint key, that it had to be mixed before it could be used because the different paint colors that made up that one color would separate over time, that you must always paint in a certain direction, to clean to brush when I was done using it, to cover the can with a paper towel to hammer the lid back on when I was done using that...
