INTRODUCTION

What is 4G

4G is a term used to refer to the next level in high-speed mobile technology that will be used to replace the current 3G network. A 4G system provide ultra-clean mobile broadband, such as a laptop with a wireless USB modem, for smartphone and mobile device are different. Conceivable application amended embrace mobile net access, phones scientific discipline, diversion services, high definition mobile TV, video conferencing, 3D TV and cloud computing.

Two candidate 4G system used custom commercial Mobile WiMAX (first used in Asian countries in 2006) and therefore the first release – the future of Evolution (LTE) custom ( in the capital and the country’s capital Norge, Sverige since 2009). But have debate if the first – release version should be thought – about to be 4G or not, has stated in the technical definition section below.

The top contenders are LTE and WiMAX, both are IP – based networks are built from the same technology, but are not compatible. Sprint and Clearwire’s 4G WiMAX service is now available in U.S, while Verizon and AT & T has committed to use LTE and tested on their 4G network.

In U.S., Sprint (formerly Clearwire) has deployed WiMAX mobile network since 2008, and MetroPCS is the major operators to provide LTE services in 2010. USB wireless modems on market since the beginning, while WiMAX smartphone on the market since 2010, and LTE Smartphone since 2011. Instrumentation developed for various continents are not directly compatible, as a result of different currently (April 2012) are not in the market for the euro market.
