What is an eating disorder?  Well, one of the many definitions for an eating disorder is an unnatural pattern of behaviors and thoughts. All eating disorders have similar characteristics. This could be a fear of becoming fat, food, weight, or calories. Families that suffer with other family members or friends with an eating disorder also have an increased chance of depression, obesity, substance abuse, or consuming too much food, and other eating disorders such as Bulimia or Binge. People with eating disorders may struggle socially, physically, and or mentally, there are also many symptoms and signs to watch for.

First off you may think that you look like a model or a Barbie doll, but you don’t and believe me, you don’t want to. There are way too many risks such as body dissatisfaction, strict dieting, low self-esteem, difficulty expressing feelings to your friends or family, imperfections, troubles family problems, sexual abuse, and or even more of a history of eating disorders. Back to what I was saying about the physical risks. You could easily suffer from some transparent and in transparent signs. These are severe mood swings, lack of energy, slow thinking, yellowish skin, bloating, I don’t know how when you have no skin, in other words fat, Brittle hair everywhere, yes even girls, fainting, head aches, poor memory, depression, weak, dizzy, tooth decay, and or gum damage, yes even if you had perfect teeth before they’re ruined now.

               Anorexia may and easily could also affect you mentally. For example, you may feel over sized and or compare yourself to others but you shouldn’t. Why you ask, because it’s really not worth it you feel overwhelmed and maybe even pressured. You also could and probably will end up giving the things you love most up. For example, say that I had Anorexia, which I obviously don’t, I may have to give up dance and I would die for sure without it (not literally).

               There is no reason to petrify thought. If you're in that place or one your friends or family members are, here are some ways that you and they recover and you can help. First, they have to admit that they have an issue, they have to realize what they are doing is wrong and agree to stop.
