3. Methodology:
The question that are listed below in our methodology are those of which we will be answering in our results and discussion; they focus on changes in the fisheries livelihoods throughout the period extending from the year 2000 till 2013. These changes include yearly changes, seasonal changes, and changes between the same seasons of different years. We will also answering some of these questions throughout the interviews with fishermen. The main questions that will be answered are:
• What is the state of this livelihood of the fishermen today? It will be defined by describing the fishermen’s state of living, source of living, income, needs, shelter and any other dependent matter that the fishermen depends on and is considered essential for life. The aspects that we will be considering to define this livelihood include: human, natural, economic, physical and social capitals and social / political relations (Government/ policies/ rules).
• What were the main drivers and pressures that led to these changes? The drivers and pressures that we will consider are local and national. Thus allowing us to define what are the greater scale drivers and pressures that are impacting the artisanal fisheries sector in Anfeh.
• What could be a set of most needed responses to solve the problems that arise throughout the research and investigation period?
The project will be portrayed in a movie dissecting all aspects that we intend to analyse throughout our study period. A script for the movie will be developed by all the members of the working group. The movie will be for around 20 – 30 minutes.

Activity 1: Background research and literature review
This activity, based on our first draft methodology was assigned to Jeanette. The literature review on Anfeh and the fisheries sector was conducted by her and information was gathered in order to compare the data that was gathered by the IOE through the Census program with the data that was and will be collected from the interviews with the fishermen, in addition, to gathering data about the village of Anfeh in general.

Research also was conducted on the some documented information about Anfeh such as:
1- Specific dates of events such as natural sea hazards that affected the fishermen and the port
2- Agreements, laws and amendments on fishing from the Ministry of Agriculture.
3- Population trends
4- History of any political conflicts and battles since the year 1975 and the possibility of it affecting fisheries.
5- Literature review (peer-reviewed articles) on fisheries and livelihoods and the environmental state in North Lebanon in general and in Anfeh specifically.

Objective: to get a scientific background concerning Fisheries Sector in Anfeh. Aspects that concern us about Anfeh from this literature review are:
1- The environmental / social / Economic conditions that is present in Anfeh focusing on the fisherman and fisheries sector.
