What Will Language Be Like In 500 Years?

The English language is something that has undergone changes for centuries upon centuries. It has been changed in many various ways, such as the way it is written, the way it is spoken, and how it sounds when verbalized. Language is one of those things that will continue to change and it will grow also, because of the new ideas that evolve.
One may be able to make predictions of what the English language will evolve to within the next 500 years. Some may make logical predictions from what is experienced today, and others may pull a completely new idea out of thin air. Every prediction that is made is valid, because no one knows what the future will be like.
People in the earlier years of language development would never have guessed that people would start using so much slang words as their daily vocabulary. For example; “Swag, YOLO, and Gay,” have been used frequently and they have multiple meanings. Swag can be used as a noun, describing a person's attitude, or what they look like in a physical manner. It has almost become a personality trait, or description. YOLO is an acronym meaning, “You only live once.” The word YOLO is used right before someone attempts something dumb. It is like a pardon upon themselves to give them the right to the ignorant act, without judgment. Gay is a word that has evolved over time with its definition. It used to mean happiness, and was a term of positivity. Now in modern times, people use the word gay as an insult, calling something dumb, or anything of that nature. These are just a few examples of how the English language has already changed. Not only are words being used that cannot
be found in the English dictionary accompanied with a definition, but letters are used to form acronyms that are used as regular words also. Everything goes through changes, and one just has to accept the changes as they come their way. These changes with the English language are going to continue, there will never be an end to it.
In the next five hundred years I foresee many changes with the English language. There will be new words, definitions, sounds, and techniques. New words will be invented, each with unique definitions. The vowel sounds will also change into new ways. Pronunciation will be different, and not as efficient. In the future people will talk at a rapid pace, to spit out all the words in as little time as possible. Admittedly, humans are becoming lazier as time goes on. Everything is motorized and only requires buttons and machines,...
