Why am I qualified to discuss losing weight?
Simple - I lost 37 pounds in 124 days doing it the right way by charting what I ate, nutrition and exercise. I went from 207 pounds to 170 pounds, and today I’m at a healthy 165 pounds. A total of 42 pounds shed. I’ll put it another way, I went from a tight 36 inch to loose-fitting 31 inch waist.
What makes this book unique is I’m going to take you step-by-step. Together we will begin with a “Getting Started Now” section which you can employ today. Why did I write this book?
Like others, I’ve put on a few extra pounds over the years, mainly in my belly, face and neck. Now being relatively short at 5’8, fat and balding, these were not necessarily the best physical qualities. Fortunately, I wasn’t always fat or balding. I really can’t do anything about the genetics, and the lack of hair, but I sure the heck could fight back on the weight.
I’ve always been pretty active, but I’ve never been muscular or defined from my body’s point of view. Like many, I’m stout with tree trunk thighs and large calves. Looking in the mirror, I could justify the few extra pounds around my waist or the need to go up a size in my jeans or slacks. But over time clothing looked terrible and I found myself gravitating towards my fat shorts or jeans. If you are not familiar with fat shorts, they have an expandable or elastic waist. If you’re grinning you know what I’m talking about. I had one or two items which fit better than anything else in my closet. I knew I had a problem, but I promised myself I’ll drop a few pounds, I’ll begin tomorrow.
Well, tomorrow came and went and nothing happened. Nada!

For 5 days I sucked on the inhaler like it was a PEZ(Tm) dispenser. Over 100 inhales later I finally found myself at my family doctor after the trip. I did have a respiratory infection, but what was startling to...
