There is someone in your life who you want to encourage to eat more healthfully for a variety of reasons; there are many strategies you can use to persuade someone to try to eat more healthfully. According to helpguide.org eating vegan is not about stern diet philosophies, staying extremely small, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. It is mainly about feeling good, improving your mood, and keeping yourself as healthy as possible. We all know someone who could live a better and longer life if they ate healthier. Surprisingly another positive impact that is unknown can help yourself and the earth, veganism helps to reduce pollution. Chemical and animal waste from factories is held accountable for 173,000 miles of polluted rivers and streams according to the US Environmental Protection Agency, this should be enough reasoning to go vegan alone. In my opinion the most important reason of becoming a vegetarian is to save the animals. Animals can feel pain just as much as we can, and the way they are killed would make you want to vomit if shown to you. There are many other sources of protein like beans instead of having to kill and eat animals. Becoming a vegetarian can also lessen world hunger by eating grains instead of animals.
Moving on, there are some health and moral arguments against veganism. There have been studies that show that vegetarians who fail to supplement their diets with Vitamin D, B12 and iron are prone to becoming dangerously anemic, and morally it is stated that plants and veggie are living organisms as well and respond to stimuli as well.
Yes, that may be true but it’s still proven that vegans live longer with less health problems unlike carnivores, and yes plants may be “alive” but they do not have a central nervous system...
